Labor of Love
Labor of love is an annual event sponsored by the Old Main Neighborhood Assoc. (OMNA) and spearheaded by 3rd District Alderperson Cindy Nebel. This long running event integrates new and returning UWSP students into the neighborhoods to work hand in hand with local residents to help clean up and beautify the campus neighborhoods. There is always a large focus on projects to improve the community and help the elderly and less fortunate. This event has created good will between long standing community members and those living in Stevens Point for the first time, giving them a unified vision and stake in the upkeep of the areas they live and play.
